Calibre's PAL Colour Encoder converts RGB 15.625/50Hz analogue video into composite and S-Video (Y/C) formats. It can accept sync in various styles including sync on green, composite sync and separate TTL level H & V syncs. The composite and Y/C outputs are independent and may be used simultaneously.

Solid state filters and internal timing circuits are locked to the internal subcarrier crystal oscillator. This realises a compact encoder with good accurate signal performance, output and alignment stability. An internal chroma band notch filter can be switched into the composite output channel and the user can preset the chroma burst position using a trim tool. The unit is housed in a compact, rugged aluminium case including a built-in mains power supply. This model is for use with PAL systems and 15.625KHz/50Hz input signals, an NTSC version for 15.75KHz/60Hz signals is also available.
